A composer and an improviser Vladimir Gorlinsky was born in 1984 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory (prof. V.Tarnopolski), where nowadays he gives lessons at the Contemporary Music Department and teaches the improvisation. He attended the master-classes with Beat Furrer, Peter Ablinger, Brian Ferneyhough, Raphael Cendo, Philippe Leroux, Georges Aperghis, etc.
He is the author of several spatial compositions (games) such as: «Resonance #2. The Finger of God» (2011) created for 8 performers, situated outside of the concert hall; «Paramusic #2» (2012) and «She-wolf» (2013), performed within the space of the fort of Liefkenshoek, Kallo city; «The book of games» (2013), exhibition of fragments of music at the festival «Transit», Leuven city. He is also the author of the spatial performances made for the Moscow Manezh (2013), for the Winzavod (2014) and for the Not yet opened space (2015).
In years 2014-2015 he took part in creation of two theatre pieces «The moments» (the Meyerhold Center): in the first one as a composer, and in the second one in cooperation with the choreographer Olga Tsvetkova as a performer (motion, sound).
Member of the duet МЯУ [meow] (with Sasha Yelina), of the trio Takoye [Such a] (with Andrey Guryanov and Sasha), of the group Chthonic Gap (with Kirill Shirokov).
His works have been broadcasted and performed in Europe, Asia and Australia by ensembles and soloists such as Klangforum Wien (Austria), KNM (Germany), Nikel (Israel), Nadar (Belgium), Vertixe Sonora (Spain), KontraTrio (Switzerland), Insomnio, Ereprijs (The Netherlands), Seyanapёsahl (Finland), Nostri Temporis (Ukraine), eNsemble, NoName, MCME, Studio for New Music (Russia), trumpeter Marko Blaauw (The Netherlands), countertenor Javier Hagen (Switzerland), conductors Enno Poppe, Teodor Currentzis and also by Russian National Orchestra.
