The N’Caged Vocal Quartet presents a program of works by the leading masters of the Renaissance — Palestrina, Tallis, Arcadelt, and others, as well as contemporary composers — Alexei Sysoev, Vladimir Gorlinsky, and Dmitry Kurlyandsky — in the format of vocal music without accompaniment. What topics interested the authors then and now? How do they use the expressive possibilities of the vocal ensemble?
